Raul Tamudo would welcome a move to Roma, according to his agent. The striker's time at Espanyol appears to have come to an abrupt end after a public spat with the club.
The Catalan club's all-time record goalscorer looks to have played his last game for the Blanc i Blau and talk of the Giallorossi has excited him.
With claims and counter-claims about lies being told to the media over his future, Tamudo now knows he will certainly be leaving in January, and he believes Italy would be a good destination.
"Roma? No club has contacted me to ask about Raul, but it would be a destination that we would like," Tamudo's agent, Tomas Duran, told the Italian media.
"We have not even had formal contact with other Italian teams - the first thing we want to know is how the situation with Espanyol is.
"It is too early to talk about names, but it is clear that Raul would love to play in Italy.
"Tomorrow [Friday] we have a meeting with Espanyol and we'll see what happens."
