Raul Tamudo Returns To Action For Espanyol
After a protracted dispute over the buy-out clause in his contract between Tamudo and the club it had looked like the Blanc i blau's all-time record goalscorer was on his way out of the club.
Tamudo played the full 90 minutes in the second leg, which finished 1-1, at the Cornella El Prat stadium and afterwards thanked the fans for their support throughout the game and in the dispute which has evolved over the last few months.
"I want to thank the fans for all the support they gave me during the game. It was a special night and I felt very supported," he told AS.
The 32-year-old former club captain has played at Espanyol for his entire career and has scored 129 goals in 344 appearances with the club.
